He angitūtanga | About the role

The Investment and Reporting Lead sits within the National Programmes and Regulatory Services team and reports to the Programme Office Manager - Predator Free 2050, providing key insights on our Predator Free 2050 programme of work.

Our team is dispersed nationally and works closely with key stakeholders such as agencies, iwi and contractors at a national level to support the delivery of our programmes.

In this role you will work closely with project partners and stakeholders to provide insight and will act as first point of contact for contract related engagement with partners.

You will support an efficient PF2050 Programme Office function as key contract manager, responsible for leading project level reporting and maintaining up to date and comprehensive picture of all PF2050 Programme investments to support the broader PF Programme.


Some key elements of this role include:

  • Lead DOC contract manager and first point of contact for contract related engagement with partners.
  • Manage funding agreements / contracts with partners, oversee project level delivery against agreed outcomes and milestones and ensure on time and quality reporting from partners.
  • Responsible for completing regular reporting requirements (such as dashboards, project level reporting, data and analysis, critical opportunities, risks and issues) using data collected from project partners.
  • Ensure information available for decision making is robust by reviewing and undertaking initial analysis to identify and escalate critical issues.

The position requires a confident, resilient, and skilled communicator, who is comfortable working across a broad range of stakeholders.

You will work with the team to ensure programme reporting and document management is consistent and timely to support operational planning and strategic initiatives.

You will lead contract management for the PF2050 Programme, as well as manage funding agreements and contracts with partners.
If you have the following skills and experience, we are keen to hear from you:

  • Sound knowledge of public sector procurement principles and processes
  • Sound understanding of reporting practices, techniques, concepts, and theoretical principles
  • Ability to take evidence around complex issues and turn it into insightful advice
  • Ability to use common reporting software and tools and/or quickly upskill in new or different software
  • Comprehensive report writing and written communication skills.
