Whiwhinga Mahi| The Opportunity**Chorus is embarking on a new chapter as we shift from the building phase of our networks to operationalising our assets.


As a Group Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for delivery of external financial reporting, the audit process including control and compliance, provide quality reporting to the executive and board and technical accounting.

We are a complex business with a retirement of our copper (legacy) network while we grow our ultra-fast fibre footprint within a regulated regime.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and coaching a team of four highly capable direct reports;
  • Delivering financial reporting, from consolidation of the monthly report to half and full year external reporting;
  • Providing quality reporting to the executive and board;
  • Being an essential link between the business unit finance managers;
  • Leading the auditing process with our external partners;
  • Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, including ensuring controls are appropriate and best practice use of the ERP;
  • Continuously improving systems and processes to support efficiency and insights.
This is a technical role but a role that will be heavily invested in people engagement. You will collaborate, partner and influence a variety of people both internally and externally.

We are in search of an accomplished Group Reporting Manager with a sound technical accounting knowledge and a Chartered Accountant qualification.

While your proficiency in delivering technical accounting requirements is essential, your success in this role will hinge on your ability to coach a team with openness, empathy and sponsorship.


You will navigate through an ambiguous environment therefore your resilience in bringing your team on a comradery journey and the ability to communicate feedback will also be key to this role.
