We are looking for a commercially sound Key Account Manager, based in our Auckland Head Office in East Tamaki, to manage JDE Peet's current and potential direct key accounts within Auckland.

You will focus on retaining positive relationships with existing customers across our direct channels (such as distributors, office customers, councils, and more) with responsibilities of account management and strategic planning to maintain profitability, while undergoing a hunt for new business opportunities as a proud representative of New Zealand's beloved coffee and tea brands.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain positive relationships with existing customers, including the development of joint business plans and achieving growth objectives
  • Implement sales and marketing initiatives
  • Support the development of strategic business improvement plans
  • Actively prospecting new business with potential customers within the direct segment
  • Manage the contracts and tendering processes with customers

For this role as a Key Account Manager, we're looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • You will have proven account management and/or new business development experience
  • You are commercially adept with experience in negotiations
  • You have proven networking skills and exceptional communication skills, with the confidence to present to customers
  • You have proven experience providing solutions to customers
  • A passion and knowledge for coffee is a plus to develop training and education programs for customers
