The role is part of the Enterprise Programme Management Office, working with the Technology Group, and responsible for the development and delivery of our core business initiatives and farmer-facing software products.


About the Role
In this role you'll play an integral part of LIC's digital transformation journey.

Through the development of new propositions and strategic partnerships, you'll create opportunities to monetise our enterprise data asset; driving maximum commercial return and advancing our competitive advantage in line with our wider data strategy and the monetisation framework you develop.


Combining strategic and leadership skills with your ability to execute and take products to market, you'll work with potential customers, partners, and internal teams to launch new propositions which maximise the value of our data platform investment.


Key focus areas include:

  • Work closely with the Data technology team to provide proposition requirements and use cases for building and enhancing the Data platform.
  • Develop a great understanding of how LIC uses data and be recognised as an expert in how it's configured and how it supports LIC's business or customer goals.
  • Develop guidelines and processes for the purchase, storage, and leverage of LIC data.
  • You are a part of the agile team and help translate the roadmap into backlog items that can be broken down, sized and delivered.
  • Work collaboratively with your team, socialise the strategy and product roadmap, foster a culture of making decisions based on data, and use metrics that provide valuable insight to business decisions.
  • Maintain a high level of communication to all interested parties (including Governance groups) on progress, scope, estimates, and roadblocks to delivering features and enhancements.
  • Work with customers and partners to lead the future evaluation of commercialisation options leading to the development of new propositions, our monetisation GTM strategy and framework.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to explore and evaluate future opportunities to monetise the data they produce and work with.
  • Collaborate with LIC's legal and compliance team and other business units to assess propositions with the appropriate risk, privacy, and cybersecurity controls in place.

About You


You'll have a strategic mindset and display a high level of reasoning behind decision making, backed up with validated rationale and metrics to enable the business to understand the size and complexity of work ahead, and which levers to move in order to efficiently deliver value.


You'll also demonstrate:

  • Technical understanding of data and analytics
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with SLT and other key stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with strong attentiontodetail
  • Be selfmotivated, able to selfmanage, think critically, and use initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to share knowledge and communicate ideas to a wide variety of audiences such as executives, business sponsors, and technical people in clear, concise language.
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Economics, Marketing, or similar
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, SAFe, Scrum or Kanban would be an advantage.
