The Tatua Co-operative Dairy Co. Ltd is situated at Tatuanui, 8km from Morrinsville. The Company is recognised as a leading force in dairy product development and manufacture.

Reporting to the Irrigation Manager, the Irrigation Operator will undertake a range of wastewater irrigation duties, including:

  • Operation of spray irrigation equipment including both pod irrigation and centre pivot irrigation systems;
  • Irrigation system maintenance;
  • Liaising with land owners and farm operators;
  • Environmental impact monitoring;
  • Maintenance of irrigation and environmental records;
  • Support Irrigation farm operations including repairs & maintenance and stock movements.


This position would ideally suit a person who can accept responsibility, is able to work under pressure, and possesses good planning, problem solving, mechanical and communication skills.

You will need to be physically fit and enjoy working outdoors. A good understanding of the agricultural sector and experience with agricultural equipment would be beneficial. A current full drivers' licence is required.


As this is a seven days per week operation, you must be prepared to work a variable day roster of 9 hour shifts that includes weekend work.
