New Year, New Job for 2023? We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Engineer who is keen to learn and develop


In this varied level 1 support role, you will collaborate and work amongst a team to assist the Technology Team in providing services in a customer focused manner that enables the highest performance of all MediaWorks NZ staff.


  • Assist support for all content and business infrastructure for MediaWorks NZ
  • Diagnose, manage and action escalated work from other technology team members and manage third parties where appropriate
  • Provide technical and troubleshooting assistance for a wide variety of broadcast & IT hardware and software
  • Work with the Technology Service and Support Delivery Manager to manage incoming job queues and support solutions
  • Escalate jobs through to appropriate channels
  • Assist with the implementation of changes to MediaWorks systems
  • Contribute to the reliable operation of Mediaworks studio and technical facilities
  • Assist with system upgrades and configuration changes consistent with MediaWorks national standards
  • Travel to MediaWorks NZ branches other than the location of this role, assisting in project and maintenance work as required by the Radio Engineering Manag

About You

  • Hands on experience with soldering irons, cabling infrastructure and signal flow
  • Basic understanding of of IP network topology and switching infrastructure
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Quick learner, and enjoy being part of a team
  • Prioritise your tasks effectively
