  • This is an opportunity to work for a main tier contractor working 4 shifts per week, meaning you get three days off per week. Who wouldn't want to work on this shift pattern?
  • We are seeking to hire a Senior Site Manager for projects in the retail sector in Auckland. Join a great team, on interesting work, with the chance for development plus a strong benefits package.
  • The salary package is $130k $150k including vehicle or you can take the cash as part of the salary instead.
  • If you have strong site management or senior foreman experience, can lead from the front and want to contribute to an already successful company's growth: this is the position for you. The site manager role will be supervising subcontractors and trade staff onsite for time sensitive interiors projects of high value and importance. Monitoring health and safety, updating the schedule, reporting on progress, keeping the project running, being able to prioritise, organise and plan are key to success.
  • Main duties:
  • On-site labour and trades control
  • Follow schedule of works and resource plan
  • Adhere to all HSE requirements, be a HSE advocate
  • Lead by example in the nightly site operation
  • Report on progress to internal parties
  • Work with inhouse staff for production and maintenance
To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Commercial construction experience
  • Retail interiors fitout experience is a bonus
  • Direct experience of leading subcontract teams, labourers and carpenters
  • Outstanding communication skills you will be liaising confidently with people at all levels
  • Trade qualification preferred
  • Man management and/or leadership skills gained in construction
  • Be level headed and have a handson approach when up against deadlines
