About the Role
This Hamilton-based role will suit a Transportation Planner, Transportation Engineer or Traffic Engineer with intermediate to senior level experience.

Work collaboratively with our team of engineers, planners and surveyors to provide input on major capital projects and be supported to take a lead role on small to mid-sized projects.


  • Deliver integrated transportation assessments and provide transport planning inputs to master plans and structure plans for new residential and commercial growth areas.
  • Deliver traffic modelling and analysis of all intersection forms.
  • Carry out Safe System Audits, road safety investigations and undertake crash and safety analysis work.
  • Provide input to/or lead road corridor and intersection design. Support projects at construction phase.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
  • Represent the business to clients and provide quality service to clients.

Skills & Experience

  • A degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or Transportation Planning.
  • Experience in the field(s) of transportation engineering, traffic engineering, or transport planning.
  • Good technical report writing and oral skills.
  • Experience in intersection modelling using SIDRA software and ideally (although not essential), PTV Vissim and/or Aimsun microsimulation.
  • Preferably experience in a New Zealand engineering consultancy, although not essential.
  • Bring a wellrounded mix of technical, commercial, and professional skills and a collaborative approach to service and project delivery.
  • Most importantly a great attitude toward task and project ownership, selfmotivation toward problem solving, and a willingness to undertake a broad range of projects.
