About the opportunity
The Global Services Operations (GSO) is a shared service centre that provides support to many of Fonterra's businesses both in NZ and overseas.
The shared service was established in December 2001 and we have continued to grow our service to support the changing needs of Fonterra.
We currently have an opportunity for a Master Data Specialist to help support the Master Data - Customer & Vendor team within our Master Data Maintenance team, in the shared services office in central Hamilton.
The Master Data - Customer & Vendor team provides a wide variety of services including: creation, update & deactivation of Customer, Vendor, Sales Pricing and Rebates & Commissions Master Data; query resolution for transactional data issues relating to Master Data set-up; reporting; and process education.
In this fast-paced and challenging role, you'll use your attention to detail, and proven problem-solving skills to accurately and efficiently complete a range of crucial tasks.
This will include supporting the Master Data team through various challenges and processes, and ensuring all data is of high quality and accuracy.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Working with key stakeholders to provide education & support on Master Data processes
- Coordinate & deliver strategic initiatives in collaboration with colleagues and/or customers
- Support the control framework by completing quality & unauthorised user audits
- Supporting workload management in Awhina, including processing of Master Data requests in alignment to business & system rules
About you
This is a busy, high-volume role, with requirement to support strategic initiatives outside of day-to-day tasks. To thrive in this role, you'll need to be self-motivated, results-driven, and achieve targets with an action-orientated approach.
Based in an ever-changing environment, your ability to learn quickly and work proactively will be very beneficial.
We are after a genuinely curious individual with a willingness to learn how things work, have excellent communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- In addition to the above, additional skills & attributes required for the role are:- Advanced Excel skills are desirable
- Adaptable, can pick things up quickly
- Customer focused
- Familiarity with working in SAP
- Experience working with Master Data is desirable
