Superb opportunity for a senior property lawyer to join this highly regarded team in an established firm in a succession planning/pathway to partnership role.


The Opportunity


This well-regarded, full-service Auckland CBD law firm is seeking an experienced commercial property lawyer to join their practice in a succession planning role.

The vacancy has arisen as one of the Property Partners will be retiring at the end of 2023.

The firm is looking to bring in a talented and switched-on technical commercial property lawyer at Senior Associate level who can look to step up to a partner leadership role in the next couple of years.

You may, or may not have, a partial client base you wish to bring with you and grow; our client advises that there will be a client base of work from the retiring partner that can be passed on to you.


The work involved is at the high-end of the property sector and includes property and land development, commercial conveyancing, complex leasing, and opinion work.


The Ideal You:

  • A NZ qualified solicitor with at least 10+ years PQE (and it could be much more).
  • Extensive experience in commercial property work, some of which is in property development and leasing.
  • A desire and ambition to succeed and thrive in a servicedriven, client care envirionment.
  • Be comfortable to network and business develop and build a client base.
  • Be motivated and capable of moving into a partnership and leadership role in a midsized firm in the midterm (12 years).
