Manatū Hauora (the Ministry of Health) is a key partner in this change, advising decision-makers on the direction of the system, bringing population groups, and sector organisations together to inform system strategies, and providing policy advice to decision-makers.

Manatū Hauora has a clear mandate to make changes to the health system that lead to equitable outcomes for tangata whaikaha (disabled people).

Manatū Hauora also sits alongside Whaikaha, the new Ministry of Disabled People, which has an important disability system leadership role.

Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do

The Family and Community Health Policy Group works on a range of cross-cutting health and social issues including the health of disabled people, women's health, child and youth wellbeing, primary and community care, ambulance services, homelessness, healthy ageing and rainbow health.

As a Principal Policy Analyst within the Primary and Community Health Care team, you will lead high priority work, shape thinking across the health system and other agencies and sectors, and you will play a key role in developing our people.

Providing the opportunity to work on interesting and challenging policy issues, you will be surrounded with a warm, collaborative and supportive culture.
