About the Digital Products & Services Team


The Digital Products and Services Team enables Wellington Water's business outcomes through the provision of data, information, and technology services and solutions.

Their mission is to make sure Wellington Water has trusted information for decision making when, where and how it's needed.

To achieve this mission for a growing Wellington Water team and work programme they are building in-house digital capability.

About the Role


You will be responsible for the digital delivery framework at Wellington Water and support for the delivery of strategic programmes.

You will lead Wellington Water into fit for purpose delivery practices, collaborate closely with strategic programs, and guide the team through business change, delivery processes, and financial and commercial management.

Your focus will be on enabling business outcomes, business maturity, and ensuring effective delivery.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery framework, driving effective work practices
  • Manage budgets, commercials and reporting for the Digital Products and Services group
  • Collaborate closely with strategic programs to ensure they have the delivery practice support they need
  • Guide the team through new processes and practices
  • Develop understanding of the delivery framework with the organisation
  • Monitor and ensure effective delivery of business outcomes

About Your Skills & Experience
This role would suit someone experienced in establishing delivery practices, processes, and building effective stakeholder relationships. Having a background in portfolio management, complex program management, or release engineering will be very advantageous. You will enjoy the establishment of new ways of working.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a structured approach to programme/portfolio management
  • Proficiency in translating business outcomes into defined programmes of work
  • Experience working in ambiguity and driving business change
  • Strong background in complex program management, release engineering, or senior roles in a PMO team
