The Director of Hauora Māori is a strategic leadership role that has responsibility for leading the strategic design, implementation and monitoring of Kia Atawhai ki te Tangata / the Pegasus Health Equity and Population Health Strategy.
This role reports to the Manukura /Chief Executive Officer and is a part of the Pegasus Health Strategic Leadership Team.
Responsibilities include:
- Strategic leadership of Hauora Māori and equity to improve health outcomes for whānau through enabling our Pegasus primary care network.
- A vital part of the Strategic leadership team of the organisation
- Leading the development, implementation and monitoring of Kia Atawhai ki te Tangata / Equity and Population Health Strategy.
- Leading cultural competency and equity education and development of the Pegasus network
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with communities and community providers.
- Supporting our population health approach including our Population Health Advisory Board and Primary Reference groups.
