We are in search of a committed and enthusiastic Trauma Quality Improvement Programme Coordinator to join our team.

You will be playing a crucial role in delivering and maintaining our Trauma Quality Improvement Programme and in maintaining the efficiency of our TQIP system.


Key responsibilities of the role:

  • The development, implementation, general oversight, and maintenance of the TMT Trauma Quality Improvement Programme to meet the needs of patients, their whānau, and trauma care providers in the Midland Region.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Developing processes for quality assessment across various aspects of trauma care
  • Generate regular reports for TMT Trauma System services
  • Monitor trends in trauma care provision
  • Identify and report breaches of procedure, policy, guidelines, process, and system goals
  • Develop and monitor action plans to address issues
  • Complete or assist in targeted audits as determined by TMT Trauma System leadership and performance trends
  • Regularly report the above to TMTTS leadership

Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:

  • A clinical background with at least four years' of experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to write reports, design forms, retrieve data, speak effectively and support all levels of management, staff, and the community
  • Excellent organisational skills and detail orientated
  • High level of computer and internet skills including but not limited to Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Word Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
  • Mathematical ability necessary to validate and analyse data
  • Selfeducate and develop a thorough knowledge of current trends in trauma quality improvement.
