EURO-DELL LTD is seeking a Purchasing Officer to join our team in Hobsonville, Auckland. This full-time position is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, goods and services to support the company's manufacturing and logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Negotiate with local and overseas suppliers to secure the best prices, delivery times and quality for purchased items
  2. Maintain accurate inventory levels by analysing stock data and placing timely orders
  3. Liaise with internal teams to understand their purchasing requirements and priorities
  4. Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure reliable, cost-effective supply
  5. Implement and adhere to purchasing policies and procedures
  6. Provide regular reporting on purchasing activities, costs and performance
  7. Other administrative tasks as required. Opportunity to work in other areas of the business.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industries
  2. Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify cost savings opportunities
  4. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Office suite
  5. Experience with Ostendo is desired but not essential
  6. Knowledge of purchasing best practices and inventory management principles
  7. Administration experience in other roles is an advantage
  8. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
