Metalcraft Roofing is a part of United Industries Limited, a business made up of nine companies serving the building and construction industry within NZ. With 13 branches nationwide, Metalcraft cover all local regions supplying roofing, tiles and rainwater system solutions.  

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service team player to join the business.  This is a full time role which will see you incredibly busy supporting the sales team, job order documentation, invoicing and other client support functions

The person we are seeking...

We need a switched on Customer Service Administrator - maybe experienced in a trade sales, support, customer service type of position. 

You can manage multiple tasks at speed and with accuracy.  

This is a very fast paced business, you need to be very structured, organised and able to work quickly, toward deadlines. 

But the great news is you are part of a team here, so you are not handling all of the pressure on your own.  

An understanding of working within a manufacturing environment or the building industry would be very beneficial, but not necessary.  

A snapshot of your day at Metalcraft:

  • Processing of all sales and purchase orders
  • Providing direct support to the sales team
  • Dealing with key customers on the phone and in the office with all queries
  • Managing incoming orders and processing jobs (both hardcopy and digital)
  • Following up on outstanding purchase orders (both internally and with external suppliers)
  • Updating job registers (data of current projects)
  • Assisting with reception duties and supporting the trade desk where necessary
  • Working within a very close knit CS team, where you are able to work proactively together within a deadline driven environment.

Your experience will reflect:

  • Competence working within a customer focused position, strong in data entry.
  • An eye for detail - Confident using a CRM / related data entry software and MS Suite.
  • Personality and great communication skills - both on the phone, face to face and with a wider Sales and leadership team.  (They like to enjoy their time at work, and you will become a key part of this close-knit team.)
  • A background within a trade or similar environment, in a similar role will be of huge benefit.  It will give you an understanding of the ordering/logistical process and flow-on affect in manufacturing.
  • Confident working with process and following structure.
  • Team player - You absolutelymust be able to be good at sharing workload, helping your team mates with demands, enjoy the banter all the while working towards deadlines within a fun team environment.
