The Role

This role will demand interaction with small to medium sized organizations (up to 2500 employees) at the executive level, as well as with technical staff within the security and messaging teams. This individual will also work well with their team of sales engineers and product specialists, as well as with partners and leverage the power of corporate resources within their account base.

Your day-to-day

  • Focus on hunting, developing and closing business with small to mid-sized organizations (up to 2500 employees) across New Zealand
  • Ability to establish strong business relationships at the executive level, advanced solution selling capabilities, conducting sales presentations, coordinating multiple resources within an account, while consistently and successfully closing business for Proofpoint
  • Technical and business acumen, to include the ability to coordinate and deliver compelling portfolio presentations
  • Work with System Engineers and Product Specialists to prepare account strategies and plans
  • Partner with marketing and the channel to gain access into new accounts
  • Strong operational excellence, to include forecast accuracy, Salesforce pipeline development, etc.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint's competitive positioning in the marketplace
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time

What You Bring To The Team

  • Minimum 2 years Sales experience generating net new business
  • Demonstrated consistent 100%+ Quota Attainment
  • Proven experience selling a complex multi-product architecture to organizations, selling into C-level Executives to Evaluator-level Engineers
  • Experience managing an entire sales cycle from start to finish
  • Minimum 1 – 2 years Cold Calling experience (not tech, SaaS or Security specific)
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn new business and technical concepts quickly
