Chiwahwah is like taking a trip to Mexico, working in the surroundings of rustic ceiling work, beehive like light installations, Mexican flora and animals donned with sombreros.
We are looking for a Bar Manager that will ensure the smooth, efficient & profitable operation of the bar and be motivated to grow beverage sales.
With at least three years experience in a similar role you will work closely with Restaurant Managers, Directors and General Manager to train and inspire our team of local and international staff. You will be required to follow in house procedures such as opening, closing, cash up and stock control and includes tasks such as professional beverage service and cocktail mixology in line with company recipes, ordering, assisting with roster requirements and conducting regular beverage training sessions for new and existing staff all while providing exceptional customer service to our new and loyal guests.
Other duties include:
- Assisting with developing and making changes to beverage menus and marketing monthly promotions
- Updating supplier and stock lists
- Ensuring cleanliness of the bar and reporting and overseeing repairs and maintenance to bar, plant & equipment as required
Key aspects of the role include:
- An understanding of directing a fast-paced, multi sitting restaurant and night club operation
- Working closely and openly as a team
- A professional and mature approach to managing staff and increasing revenue
- Excellent knowledge of the industry and willingness to learn our products and service standards
- Ensuring company policies are carried out including enforcement of liquor licensing and host responsibility requirements
- Strong focus on customer service, building relationships and driving consistency
This is a permanent full time role - minimum 30 hours per week 5 days per week and includes nights and weekends. Hourly rate is $30 to $35 per hour based on experience. Other benefits include tips and staff meals.
We are approved as an accredited employer and able to assist through the immigration process if required.
