**DJ 1313 Limited**is currently seeking a full-time, professional **Bar Manager** in **Christchurch, Canterbury**.

**As a Bar Manager your key tasks will be**:

- Managing the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.
- Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to patrons.
- Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that bar is well staffed during peak hours.
- Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.
- Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for patrons.
- Ensuring licenses are updated and in line with current legislation.
- Working with diverse personalities both on the staff and patrons.
- Maximizing sales through food and beverage
- Interacting with customers, taking orders and serving snacks and drinks
- Comply with the company’s legal obligations with respect to the Sales of Alcohol legislation
- Ordering/ re-ordering of stock as per the need.

**This is a minimum 30 hours per week role.**
- Minimum 1 year of relevant bar experience or a Level 5 or above qualification in a related field.
- LCQ certification is mandatory.
- Duty Manager certificate is highly preferred.
- Drug test required.
- Availability to work 7 days according to business needs, including Weekends and late evening shifts.
- Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
- Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
