Retail Manager

solution for sports clubs, schools, and businesses. We specialise in providing high-performance

About the Role:

We're looking for a dedicated and passionate Store Manager to lead our team and ensure the

smooth operation of our Avondale branch of The Uniform Shoppe. You will manage day-to-

day operations, ensuring our customers receive the best possible service. This is a part-time

position with regular set hours each week (27 hours), providing you with a consistent schedule.

Please note that this position is not suitable for university students.

Key Responsibilities:

● Oversee store operations, including opening and closing procedures.

● Provide excellent customer service (both in-store and over the phone) and create a

welcoming atmosphere.

● Manage inventory and ensure stock levels are maintained.

● Train and supervise part-time staff members.

● Maintain visual merchandising standards.

● Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues.

● Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.

● Develop and implement sales strategies to meet targets.

About You:

● Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or management role

● Strong interpersonal and communication skills

● Friendly, outgoing and reliable

● Punctual and committed to maintaining a regular work schedule

● Enthusiastic and passionate about retail

● Ability to create a positive, customer-focused environment

● Basic computer skills for managing inventory and sales systems

● Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand without requiring a work visa.

● Capable of multitasking effectively and relating to a diverse range of customers.

● A proactive team player while also capable of working independently.

Hours of Work:

● 27 hours per week, with some flexibility.

● Must be available to work extra during our busy back-to-school period from mid-

January to mid-February

● May be required to cover for staff in other stores when needed.
