Maintenance Engineer – Palmerston North

Hourly Rate: $48 | Full-time (40 hours/week)

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be part of a 2-person team responsible for maintaining and improving their advanced processing equipment. This is a Monday to Friday role, with staggered shifts between 5am and 6pm. Occasional weekend work may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, motor/gearbox, and pump systems.
  • Perform TIG and MIG welding tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Uphold high standards of health and safety in all tasks.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous engineering experience in a food processing environment (an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors/gearboxes, and pumps.
  • Trade certificate in engineering/maintenance or equivalent.
  • Welding ability in TIG and MIG.
  • A current NZ Driver's Licence.
  • A solid health & safety attitude and record.
