About the Role:
EPL Group (Elastomer Products) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the smooth operation at their manufacturing facility in Christchurch. This hands-on role involves maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of mechanical equipment associated with the manufacturing process.
You'll be part of a team that prides itself on precision, safety, and collaboration. If you have strong mechanical know-how and enjoy solving problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on extrusion machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and fabrication-related issues
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Maintain accurate records, computer literacy
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written
- Organized, tidy, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
Qualifications & Experience:
- Trade Certificate or NZQA Level 4 (or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with workshop machinery
- General fabrication, MIG and TIG welding skills
- Pneumatic system experience preferred
- CNC, manual milling and turning an advantage
