This position is perfect for someone who wants to use and continue developing their educational leadership skills in a supportive environment which focuses on providing quality learning outcomes in a fun and personalised way, both within and beyond the classroom.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Assisting the DoS in the planning and scheduling of General English, Cambridge and Special Interest classes
Helping students with questions, class change requests, language goals and more
Testing and placing students into classes on a weekly basis and participating in orientation
Teaching some classes per week and relief teaching (hours vary according to needs)
Tracking student attendance, issuing formal warnings and counselling students
Conducting teacher observations and providing constructive feedback
Leading professional development sessions and workshops
Monitoring and supporting teachers' use of EF blended learning materials including Chrome Books
Assisting the DoS in running the school's Cambridge Exam Centre
Providing academic counselling to long-term students
Organising academic projects and tracking students' results
Liaising with EF Sales Offices to ensure high student satisfaction with internal communication
Representing EF well with external stakeholders including university contacts
Participate in rostered Emergency phone duties
Working with the DoS, School Director, Activities, Accommodation, and Student Services teams to run cohesive and memorable school events
Selection Criteria:
To succeed in this role, the candidate must be a qualified and talented teacher with the ability to lead by example, and an ability to work well in a range of administrative roles. The candidate must be:

The candidate must have:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
TESOL qualification as recognised by ENZ (CELTA, Certificate IV in TESOL, etc.)
Minimum two years' experience teaching a wide range of levels and specialised courses
New Zealand Citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency, or a visa which allows you to work full-time in New Zealand
Police Vetting is required
Desirable:
DELTA, or MA TESOL / MA Applied Linguistics
Experience supporting teachers in special courses, e.g. Academic English, Cambridge
Experience providing professional development workshops and teacher observations
Management experience in an education context
Experience with the EF Method
Experience using the CRM systems and working in a SharePoint environment
