MARKETING COORDINATOR

Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland is one of Aotearoa New Zealand's most iconic geothermal attractions, drawing visitors from around the world to experience its unique landscapes, colours, and natural wonder.

We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Coordinator to join our team and support the ongoing growth, reputation, and visitor experience of this world-class destination.

About the Role

Reporting to the Waiotapu Manager, the Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of marketing strategies that strengthen Waiotapu's local and international presence. This is a hands-on, diverse role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic tourism environment and is confident working across digital marketing, promotions, administration, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support marketing planning, reporting, and market research.
  • Coordinate promotions, advertising, social media content, website updates, and industry events.
  • Produce marketing materials and assist with group bookings and famils.
  • Provide administration support and respond to customer enquiries.
  • Assist across operational areas when required and champion H&S procedures.

Skills & Requirements

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, Canva, and other relevant applications.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and time-management abilities.
  • Creative, proactive, and able to work well with diverse stakeholders.
  • Marketing-related qualification and/or experience.
  • Professional, adaptable, self-motivated; holds a current full driver's licence.

At Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland, you'll be part of a passionate whanau dedicated to showcasing one of New Zealand's most stunning natural attractions. This role offers variety, creativity, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and exciting tourism initiatives.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. As Waiotapu operates seven days a week, the role requires availability across all days, with occasional weekend work as operational needs arise.

We prioritise the wellbeing of our team and offer competitive pay and staff benefits. Daily transport from Rotorua is available. Please note that pre-employment drug testing and a criminal history check are required.
