Rubiix Accountants are based in Newmarket, and we are currently offering a part-time position and an opportunity to join our Administration Team.

We seek a friendly, approachable, well-presented, and reliable team player with excellent communication skills both written and oral.

You will be adaptable, self-motivated, have a high work accuracy & flexibility would be advantageous during the busier parts of the year.

The skills and experience you'll need to bring with you include;

  • Experience in Xero & Xero Practice Management software - XPM
  • A proven ability in an Accounting Admin role - at least 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong computer skills & competent in MS Office products (word, excel, etc)
  • Good communication skills; both written and oral
  • High attention to detail and accuracy & a good work ethic.
  • Strong numerical & organisational skills – written & verbal
  • A team-player with a can-do attitude and work ethic, a willingness to do a variety of work, a good sense of humour and a strong personal drive to solve problems when they arise, while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new IT software

About the role;

o   Login jobs, additional information & email client confirmation. Logout completed jobs ready for Managers review

o   Scanning WIPs for Audits

o   Printing & photocopying reports

o   Upload information into Xero

o   Generate Invoices and email to clients

o   GST Logins, registrations & de-registrations with IRD

o   Email confirmation to clients before filing GST returns

o   IRD queries, calls, secure email, IRD applications and other forms of correspondence

o   Checking IRD tax assessments and updating Xero i.e. archiving assessed return

o   Company formations, name changes, share transfers, Director resignations & address amendments.

o   Annual Return filing & invoicing

o   Accountancy online - sending questionnaires & updating client data

o   Phone & reception cover as and when required

o   Perform tasks received from the Manager and Director

o   ACC – maintaining portal
