Take the lead on complex civil infrastructure projects across the Waikato valued between $5M and $50M. Join a respected Tier 2 contractor recognised for delivering technically demanding water, wastewater, and structural civils projects.

This is a career-defining opportunity for an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor ready to step up. You'll manage full tender cycles from first principles, own pricing strategy and pre-contract control, and directly influence the contractor's pipeline of major works across the region.

Tallann Group has been exclusively retained to appoint an Estimator for this appointment. The company operates a flat structure, giving you autonomy, leadership visibility, and hands-on exposure across both tendering and delivery.

The scope

  • Manage end-to-end estimating on projects from $5M to $50M
  • Develop accurate first-principles estimates and bid submissions
  • Partner with senior leadership to shape tender strategy and risk control
  • Support live projects between tenders, gaining project delivery experience

You'll bring

  • Proven estimating or QS experience in civil infrastructure (NZ-based)
  • Commercial judgement and technical accuracy
  • Confidence to lead multidisciplinary bids independently
  • Strong communication, discipline, and initiative
