Auckland CBD, New Zealand Entertainment Accounting Services Ltd Full time

You will be performing a wide range of bookkeeping duties including, trust account maintenance, Accounts Payable and Receivables, reconciling bank accounts, pay accounts local and overseas wire transfers, updating companies office and lodging annual returns, working with highly confidential information, reconciling bank accounts and office administration duties.  You will be required to be highly organised, pro-active, have excellent communication and written skills, a sense of humor always helps and it will be essential you have being working in this field for some years only in New Zealand as a high level of accuracy and competence  is required at all times.

Our accounting firm only look after musicians, actors, television and film industry clients and is based at the top of Upper Queen Street (city fringe) and you will have the opportunity to be part of a friendly team and also working with some of our clients.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Data Entry and coding of Cash Manager Trust Account , Xero, be proficient using Excel, Word and be quick in learning other software.
  • Accounts Payable, including paying accounts for our firm and for our clients.
  • Accounts Receivable including looking after debtors for our firm and for our clients.
  • Weekly cash reports for clients, daily banking reports.
  • Companies Office Returns and incorporating new Companies, updating Companies Office records.
  • General administration and bookkeeping duties and being flexible with priorities is a must as in this role they can change through out the day.
  • Client cashflow weekly reports.
  • Receptionist/admin reports direct to you.
  • Attributes for the right candidate will include:
  • Be flexible and highly organised with an eye for detail.
  • Be organised and plan your day but expect the unexpected to change it.
  • Be part the team and help the accountants, with the attitude no job is too small or too big.
  • Be prepared to work with urgency when needed and be flexible to change what your priorities are .
  • Communication is important and must have amazing verbal and written communication skills.

You would be responsible for our clients business services requirements as well as our firms administration work.

The successful candidate will be flexible, have a can do attitude and an eye for detail, work well under pressure and be able to fit in with our team of accountants.
