Workshop Controller – Winger Motors Hamilton

Winger Motors Hamilton is looking for a skilled Workshop Controller to take the wheel in managing the daily operations of our busy service workshop. Whether you're a skilled technician looking for your next step or a seasoned Service Advisor wanting a new challenge, this Workshop Controller may just be what you need.

With 10 technicians, 14 hoists, and multiple leading automotive brands under one roof, this role is key to ensuring everything runs efficiently — from job allocation to customer handover.

What You'll Do
  • Coordinate and allocate daily jobs across the technician team to maximise productivity.
  • Monitor workflow, ensuring quality repairs and on-time delivery for every vehicle.
  • Communicate proactively with Service Advisors, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Support warranty and compliance processes to meet distributor standards.
  • Lead and motivate the workshop team, promoting safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage WIP, invoicing approvals, and daily efficiency reports.

What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience in a Workshop Controller, Service Advisor, Workshop Foreman, or Senior Technician role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on teamwork.
  • Solid technical understanding of automotive service and repair processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining workshop safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
