We are currently seeking a dedicated Sales and Service Manager to join our experienced and passionate Palmerston North management team

What's great about a Sales and Service Manager role at Farmers is the potential to move throughout the store over your time in the role to gain exposure and experience to a wide range of retail offerings. We cover everything from Women's and Men's Fashion to Homeware and Nursery to name just a few. Exposure to this level of variety will set you up well for your future retail career. This role will be looking after our busy and exciting women's department - so a strong sense of style, experience in with women's clothing and experience in Visual merchandising would be a bonus

As part of a small team of Department Managers reporting through to our Assistant Store Manager you will enjoy the benefits of a wider support network both in store and regionally.

As the Sales and Service Manager you will:

  • Drive department sales and take full ownership for the teams sales performance
  • Manage, coach, develop and motivate team to exceed sales budgets
  • Liaise with VM to ensure all visual elements (banners, windows, hot spots) are in place, on time before store opening
  • Drive a customer service culture across departments by ensuring high levels of customer service
  • Implement & communicate promotional plans for upcoming events

What we are looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar position (Store Manager small store or Department Manager medium to large store)
  • Experience with women's clothing or fashion departments
  • Strong sales coaching competence - proven ability in coaching for sales improvement
  • Exceptional customer focus
  • Excellent team management experience - can motivate and coach a team to improve sales results

The is a permanent full-time role and will involve weekend work and flexibility for early starts and late nights as part of the management roster.
