Regional Service Manager

At Kubota Australia and Kubota New Zealand, we distribute and provide after sales support for high value, exceptional quality agricultural and construction machinery and products.
In your new role you'll be front line, you'll spend a lot of time out and about, hands-on, with our dealers and customers in the field. You'll provide proactive and timely after-sales care and technical service support to our customers in partnership with the Kubota dealer service network. Your specific geographic areas of focus will be the NZ north island and Fiji.
Your role will be diverse and no two days will be alike. One day you may be helping resolve a service issue or undertaking an investigation and reporting on product performance issues. The next you may be undertaking some B2B business development or presenting technical guidance and providing capability up-skilling on new technology to dealers. You'll need to balance priorities and activities to ensure you meet the needs of our dealers and customers.
You will be known for your customer centricity and broad technical skill-set (with specialisation in Agricultural/ Construction machinery products), great business acumen and exceptionally strong interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills. Your strengths include problem solving ability, pragmatism and ability to make evidence-based decisions. We'd love it if you were already a Kubota fan and have a great knowledge of our products
You'll be judged on your ability to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce customer downtime and continual improvement/ maintenance of service performance as well as capability up-lift for dealers.
Your resume would like include:
- Relevant tertiary experience (mechanical trade / mechanical engineering)
- Significant service management experience (wholesale or retail) in a similar role, with experience ideally gained within the agricultural/construction industry
- Background involvement in the Agricultural/Construction machinery industry
- Account/relationship management and customer service experience
- Exceptional communication skills, including ability to produce management and technical reports, train/coach others and explain technical matters in audience appropriate terms
- Experience in the management of warranty disputes and the management of goodwill
- Applied knowledge of dealership service and parts department operations
- Strong business acumen and the ability to coach and provide feedback/capability uplift activity to business and their teams to help them be their best
- Account/ relationship management and customer service experience
- Highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving and trouble shooting skills
- Proven ability to research/trouble shoot and solve diverse technical problems
- Proficient in the use of standard business applications such as Microsoft Office/Google Suites and email and any bespoke Service related software
- Valid Drivers License, Passport and certification/tickets for equipment (as required)
You should reside or have access to the zone which you support, the position requires very frequent regional and interstate travel and national or international travel on occasions.
