The Role

We're looking for a full time Assistant Accountant based at our Mt Wellington office reporting to the Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain hands-on action from Accounts Payable and Receivable and month-end responsibility from day one. This role is for go-getters - if you're self-motivated, love a challenge, and genuinely care about delivering great service, then keep reading. We're after someone who's ready to jump in, learn fast, and actually make things happen.

What you'll be doing

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable processing, including invoicing, billing and payments.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Liaise with clients and vendors to resolve queries or issues.
  • Provide support to the Finance Manager and wider finance team.

What we're looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • At least 1 year experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
