**The Company**

This New Zealand owned organisation have continued to see growth, they have been in operation for over 50 years and are well-known in their respective fields. While their head office is based in Auckland, they are currently expanding into the Australian market and have a centralised finance team of 4. This role is a 3month contract with the potential to go permanent. This is an office-based role offering flexible working hours.

**The Role**

This is a varied position where you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Management Accountant to accomplish business goals. You will have the opportunity to bring your skills and experience to make this role your own. You will be responsible for:

- Responsible for accurately recording GL journals and performing reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Handle tax compliance duties, including preparing and submitting tax returns for both Australia and New Zealand, covering GST, FBT, and PAYE.
- Manage fixed assets by maintaining and updating the assets register, crucial for effective tracking and maintenance within a manufacturing business.
- Monitor cashflow, forecasting incoming and outgoing cash movements, to ensure proper financial planning and liquidity management for both Australia and New Zealand.
- Assist with monthly close-offs, supporting the timely completion of financial reporting and analysis tasks.
- Ad-hoc duties.

**Skills & Experience**

We are on the lookout for an experienced Assistant Accountant who has proven experience assisting with the month end close. You will have good technical skills and knowledge and have the ability to hit the ground running.
