**The Company**

As a leader in transport solutions, they are a well-known and reputable multi-national organisation that have a strong presence in the Australian and New Zealand market. With offices across the country this organisation has continued to see progressive growth. Although they are a corporate, they still have a down to earth culture where everybody has a say. A need has arisen in the team for a hands-on and experienced Senior Assistant Accountant due to an internal promotion.

**The Role**

You will report directly into the Finance Manager, working in a wider team of 5. Your core responsibilities are to own the month-end process through to assisting the Financial and Management Accountants with reporting through to budgeting.

This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with multiple on-going projects across the business where you will get the chance to assist in partnering with varying stakeholders as well as getting involved in systems work.

**Your duties will include**:

- Closing off the month-end to tight deadlines; including the accruals, journals, pre-payments
- Verifying financial statements, ledgers and accounts and adjusting as required
- Balance sheet, Bank and Account reconciliations
- Collaborating with the wider finance team on various accounts projects
- Preparing profit and loss statement
- GST, FBT and PAYE
- Assisting with the audit
- Assisting with the cashflow, forecasting and budgeting
- Monthly reporting as well as ad-hoc project based reporting

**Skills & Experience**

To be considered for this role you will have had experience in taking ownership of the full month-end process. You will have excellent communication and relationship building skills and you will have the drive to want to get involved with projects outside of the BAU.

You will be highly organised and have proved experience working in a larger organisation with tight deadlines. My client has a dynamic environment and require someone that has the ability to think outside of the box.
