General Manager / Project Manager – Electrical Infrastructure

With a strong reputation for technical excellence and a growing pipeline of work, Decom is seeking a hands-on and commercially minded General Manager / Project Manager to lead operations and project delivery.

About the Role

This is a senior operational and managerial role, ideal for someone with a strong background in the electrical or high-voltage industry who is ready to step into a broader leadership position. You'll oversee day to day management of the business, project delivery, lead teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to strategic planning and business development.

You'll work closely with the Board and senior leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely on time, and to a high standard - while also identifying opportunities to improve systems, grow capability, and support long-term business goals.

About You

We're looking for a practical, people-focused leader with:

  • Experience in the electrical, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
  • Understanding of high-voltage systems is preferable but not essential
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects
  • Commercial acumen and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A collaborative leadership style and commitment to safety and quality

This role may suit a Project Manager, Operations Manager, or Engineering Lead looking to step into a broader leadership role with real impact and potential.
