Christchurch Adventure Park is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead the organisation through its next phase of strategic growth. This is a rare opportunity to combine commercial leadership with the outdoors, sustainability, community impact, and world‑class customer experiences.

You will lead all aspects of the Park's operations, financial performance, culture, safety, and strategic direction. Reporting directly to the Chair of the Board, you will drive high performance, revenue, innovation, operational excellence, and ongoing improvements across this iconic world class adventure destination.

At one of New Zealand's most iconic outdoor adventure destinations you will lead:

  • Strategic planning, business planning, and high‑quality execution.
  • Commercial performance including revenue, EBITDA, and growth targets.
  • Revenue growth with a strong focus on sales and marketing
  • Delivery of a top‑tier customer experience across biking, ziplining, walking and hospitality.
  • Culture, people leadership, recruitment, and capability development.
  • Sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder partnerships including Board, Christchurch City Council, investors, suppliers and the greater Christchurch community.
  • Compliance across health & safety, regulatory and environmental requirements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven senior leadership experience in tourism, recreation, hospitality, adventure, or service‑driven industries.
  • Strong commercial, financial and operational management capability.
  • A confident people leader who can build positive culture and develop high‑performing teams.
  • Experience delivering strategy, leading change, and continuously improving operations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work transparently with a Board.
  • Passion for outdoor adventure, sustainability, customer experience and community engagement.
