And right now, we're looking for a Business Development Manager who brings commercial hunger, sales confidence and a genuine curiosity for how businesses grow.

The Role

This is a sales-led role, one for someone who loves identifying opportunities, opening doors and turning conversations into meaningful commercial outcomes. You'll blend proactive business development with recruitment delivery, working across three key groups:

  • Lapsed or past clients ready to be re-engaged and reactivated
  • New clients through targeted, strategic BD activity
  • Existing customers where there's untapped potential

You'll build partnerships with organisations who value insight, responsiveness and action. Early wins will come through delivering recruitment assignments, building trust and proving value quickly. From there, your focus is on creating momentum: growing accounts, broadening relationships and positioning wider HainesAttract solutions.

What success looks like

Success in this role looks like consistently generating and converting new business opportunities, re-activating lapsed accounts and building repeatable revenue streams. You'll grow client value through consultative sales, deliver early recruitment wins that build credibility, and drive strong follow-through, action and commercial discipline. Alongside that, you'll form trusted internal partnerships with our senior leadership and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution. we'll back you with a meaningful base and bonus scheme.

What we're looking for

You'll come from agency recruitment with a proven track record of sales performance. You know how to generate your own pipeline, you understand the levers of a great BD conversation, and you're comfortable navigating a mix of warm, lapsed and cold opportunities. Just as important is how you show up:

  • Likeable and credible, someone people want in the room
  • Commercially curious with a genuine interest in how businesses work
  • Disciplined in follow-up and action management
  • Adaptable, quick to learn new markets and confident in new conversations
  • Media agency experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
