We're searching for a forward-thinking Digital Lead to take full ownership of Simpson Grierson's digital presence — across our website, social media, analytics, marketing automation, and emerging technologies. If you love combining creativity with technical precision, this is your opportunity to influence the digital direction of one of New Zealand's leading law firms.

About the role

This role is all about impact. As Digital Lead, you'll shape and implement the firm's digital strategy, ensuring our channels not only look great, but perform exceptionally. You'll champion SEO, UX, analytics, AI tools, and continuous improvement, and you'll bring fresh thinking to how we connect with clients and communities online.

You'll be a part of the close-knit and supportive BD & Marketing team, reporting to our Client & Markets Director.  You'll work with internal stakeholders, and external suppliers — collaborating to deliver a cohesive, best-practice digital presence.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and delivering a digital strategy that enhances visibility and discoverability
  • Owning day-to-day website performance, updates, optimisation, and analytics
  • Ensuring our digital footprint aligns with best practice — including LLM compatibility
  • Managing social media strategy, content, advertising, and audience growth
  • Leading SEO efforts and data-driven recommendations
  • Running digital advertising and reporting on ROI
  • Introducing new tools, workflows, and technologies to improve efficiency
  • Supporting marketing automation, segmentation, and CRM-aligned workflows

About you

You're equal parts creative and analytical — someone who knows how to measure what matters, and elevate an online presence.

You'll bring:

  • 3+ years' experience in digital marketing, optimisation, or digital strategy
  • Strong hands-on experience with SEO, analytics, social tools, and marketing automation
  • Technical curiosity and confidence working with new platforms and AI-driven tools
  • Great communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Sharp attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Professional services experience is a plus, but not essential.
