Who we are looking forA commercially sharp Head of Google Media to lead and evolve our paid division. You will own Google, Bing, and emerging channels, set the bar for delivery, packaging, process and performance, and scale outcomes profitably. You are technically fluent, comfortable with e-commerce and international brands, and confident leading onshore and offshore teams.
What you will be doingLeadership and ownership
- Lead and grow Zib's Paid Media division across Google, Bing, and new channels for 150+ clients
- Set and uphold delivery, performance, and process standards
- Identify new product opportunities, for example programmatic, feed automation, and cross-channel innovation
- Mentor and upskill hybrid teams across Australia, New Zealand, and offshore
- Partner with the Head of Departments optimise resources and outputs
- Champion Paid Media internally and externally so Zib stays ahead of platform and market shifts
- Build and oversee Paid Media strategies across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display, YouTube, and Bing Ads
- Manage and scale accounts with budgets of NZD 50,000 to 150,000+ per month
- Drive strong ROI through feed optimisation, GA4 tracking, attribution, and automation
- Lead a culture of testing and experimentation across creative, audiences, and landing pages
- Turn performance data into clear, commercial insights that senior stakeholders trust
- Collaborate with SEO, Social, Development, and Strategy leaders to deliver multi-channel growth
- Develop playbooks, frameworks, and training for Paid Media, Sales, and Account Management
- Streamline operations and reduce friction in campaign delivery
- Lift measurable outcomes, for example fewer escalations, more upsells, and higher client confidence
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance
- 5+ years of Paid Media experience, agency or in-house
- Proven success managing large-scale e-commerce and international brands
- Expertise across Google Ads, Bing Ads, Shopping, Performance Max, and emerging channels
- Strong analytics and tracking skills, including GA4, GTM, Looker Studio, and offline conversion imports
- Confident people leader with experience managing onshore and offshore teams
- Excellent communicator who can simplify complex data and insights
- Calm, strategic, and commercial, focused on profit over noise
- Bonus: SA360, BigQuery, feed automation tools, and CRO experience
- Fewer Paid Media escalations
- Growth in Paid Media upsells and new product adoption
- Increased client ROI and retention

Reporting to the Head of Performance as part of the Production Leadership Team.
