About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Operations Planner / Scheduler to join our dynamic team. This is a hands-on role where you will take the reins of Calder Stewart's logistics operations - driving performance across our regional supply chain network by using data-driven insights, you'll identify opportunities, plan proactively, and implement practical solutions to optimise production, and logistics utilisation across Calder Stewart business units and regions.
Reporting to the National Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in scheduling, resource utilisation, and overseeing the safe, effective delivery of materials. This role requires excellent communication, and the ability to plan and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
About you
· Proven experience in a logistics management role
· Ability to think creatively to solve problems and address potential service issues
· Forward thinking, with the ability to identify efficiencies and improvements
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of people
· Practical knowledge of the construction industry and the products we transport is highly desirable
· Strong problem-solving skills with excellent analytical and decision-making
Skills and Attributes
A successful Operations Planner / Scheduler needs a combination of technical and soft skills, including strong communication, decisive and problem-solving abilities. Key technical skills involve strategic planning, data analysis, and proficiency with logistics software and tools. Essential attributes include excellent organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and a high degree of flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment.
