Our Recreation, Sports & Events unit is looking for an experienced Workforce Planner to join the team. The focus of this role is to ensure we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time with the right skills to achieve high performance.

To oversee staffing across multiple facilities as well as across multiple teams: Customer Experience, aquatics, fitness, swim education, will see you developing staffing systems for our ever-growing staff force.

**Some of the key tasks**:

- As a priority this role will be developing a workforce plan from inception, continuing on to manage its operation.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive resource planning, encompassing long-term, mid-term, short-term, and immediate perspectives. Ability to bring the role to life by creating a seamless system to replace the multitude we currently have in place.
- Identify workforce requirements and recommend areas for improvement for both rostering and time management systems and practices. Offer recommendations based on resource availability, such as the need for additional resources or prioritisation of tasks.
- Empower Team Leaders to optimise resource allocation by providing a clear understanding of scheduled and planned work.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to enhance staffing and operational deliverables.
- Identify potential workforce risks and issues that may impact the delivery of service.
- Develop roster templates across the unit that ensure optimal business efficiency.
- Ownership of labour planning, allocation and workloads

**To excel in this role, you will need**:

- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in workforce coordination.
- A strong communicator, who is able to modify their approach to influence and deliver results to all audiences, with the ability to have challenging conversations.
- Attention to detail with proven experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong organisational skills, with an analytical way of thinking.
- Proven history of identifying and implementing improvements in operational performance.
