**A little more about the role**:
As an Operations Planner, you will be the crucial link between the control room and the public where you will plan and coordinate network access requests and schedule network outages. If you love the energy industry, where keeping the power on and keeping the public safe is important to you, this is a great opportunity to join our skilled Operations Planner team. This role has a fantastic mix of engagement, technical and field visits, no day will ever be the same as an Operations Planner at Orion.

**A little more about you?**

You will have spend time in the energy sector with a sound knowledge of the power network while working a maintenance and operation of electrical distribution and transmissions systems position.

In addition you will have:

- An NZQA Level 4 Engineering qualification with knowledge of geographical information and distribution management systems
- Previous experience and a mature attitude engaging with the public
- Sound knowledge of industry safety rules, procedures and regulations
- Engagement with contractors and across the business to plan release windows and investigate requests
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement and innovative approach to technology
- Strong relationship building skills and an analytical mindset
- A current Class 1 Drivers Licence
