EAT COFFEE (AND SPREADSHEETS) FOR BREAKFAST?
We're looking for a Supply Planner who loves systems, thrives on solving puzzles, and can turn complexity into smooth, reliable operations.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Supply Planner will play a crucial role in delivery of our vision: for our brands to sit at every bench top where exceptional coffee is helping to raise the bar.
The Supply Planner will support our procurement and inventory functions, ensuring the consistent and cost-effective availability of products across our network - from the beans themselves to every cup, lid, and label that completes the experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Planning and Procurement Support
- Assist the Head of Coffee Procurement with forecasting and administrative tasks related to coffee sourcing.
- Maintain and update all planning and forecasting documentation to ensure accuracy for future procurement needs.
- Manage inventory procurement for all non-coffee items, ensuring timely and cost-effective stock availability.
2. Vendor Management & Selection
- Manage ongoing relationships with non-coffee inventory vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for supply chain issues and performance.
- Conduct vendor performance reviews against agreed-upon KPIs, focusing on lead times, quality, and reliability.
- Participate in the selection and onboarding of new non-coffee vendors, assessing potential suppliers based on capacity, pricing, and quality standards.
3. Inventory Management and Improvement
- Improve working capital through initiatives aimed at reducing overall inventory levels and minimizing obsolescence.
- Manage all physical stock take processes to reconcile system and actual inventory counts.
- Ensure strict compliance with the company's Inventory Policy across all planning and management activities.
4. Reporting and Quality Control
- Report regularly on Inventory quality, identifying and addressing issues like slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Monitor and report on stock turn performance to assess inventory efficiency and identify opportunities for optimization.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Experience in supply planning, procurement, or inventory management (FMCG or manufacturing experience a plus).
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills — you enjoy spotting patterns and finding efficiencies. Experience with Business Central/Dynamic 365 would also be desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
- A proactive mindset — you don't just identify problems, you find solutions.
- A genuine interest in the world of coffee (or the people and systems that make it work).
WHAT WE OFFER
- A staff coffee allowance and team discounts
- Paid time off for volunteering
- A vibrant and supportive team culture
- Opportunities for growth within the Coffee Supreme network
- A role at the heart of Wellington's specialty coffee community
Coffee Supreme is a certified B Corp, and an equal opportunities employer. No person will be denied employment on the basis of race, age, sex, or religion.
HOW TO APPLY
To apply, send us your CV and a cover letter telling us a bit about yourself and why you'd be a great fit at Coffee Supreme.
