We are recognised for our exceptional customer service and strong relationships with both trade and retail clients. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Trade and Retail Sales Person to join our Hamilton team.

About the Role

This is a key customer-facing position responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our trade and retail clients, assisting them with product selection, and ensuring a seamless sales experience from enquiry through to delivery.

The role may also involve supporting trade deliveries and general showroom operations as required, offering variety and the opportunity to be involved in multiple aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service and expert product advice to trade and retail customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, tilers, and trade customers
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from quotation through to order completion
  • Coordinate and, where required, assist with trade deliveries and order fulfilment
  • Maintain an organised and visually appealing trade showroom environment
  • Support the team with general sales, customer service, and operational tasks

Skills and Experience

  • Proven sales experience, ideally within the building or trade supply industry
  • Strong ability to build rapport and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills
  • Confident using sales and inventory systems (training provided)
  • Full New Zealand driver's licence (required)
  • Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one (advantageous)
  • Physically capable of assisting with product handling and deliveries when needed
  • Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
