Front-End Software Engineer

We're looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to join our Clinical Portal team, the group behind Orion Health's secure, web-based platform that gives clinicians a unified, intuitive view of a patient's longitudinal health record. Our software integrates data from multiple healthcare systems to improve the way care is delivered - and you'll help make that experience seamless, fast, and beautiful.

What you'll do

As part of a collaborative, cross-functional Agile team, you'll:

• Design, build, and optimise responsive, high-performance user interfaces that empower clinicians to make better, faster decisions.
• Work closely with UX designers, product owners, and back-end engineers to bring new features to life.
• Ensure accessibility, performance, and usability are at the heart of every interaction.
• Contribute to design discussions, champion modern front-end best practices, and help shape the technical direction of our product suite.
• (If joining at a senior level) mentor others and influence architectural and tooling choices across the front-end stack.

What you'll bring

• Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a front-end or full-stack engineer, working on enterprise software, with a strong focus on front-end development and UI/UX quality.

• Technical skills:

• Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS (or CSS-in-JS frameworks).

• Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, or Playwright.
• An understanding of RESTful APIs and working in cross-functional teams with backend engineers.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud environments is an advantage.

• Bonus points for experience with accessibility (WCAG), design systems, or performance optimisation.

• Characteristics: You're creative, detail-oriented, and love solving complex interface challenges. You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate clearly, and care deeply about building products that make a real difference.
