SENIOR TEST MANAGER / QA LEAD - CONTRACT (Auckland, NZ - Hybrid)

A leading corporate client is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Manager / QA Lead for a high-impact, 6-month contract with a strong potential for extension.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping and governing the quality assurance strategy across multiple agile delivery teams, with a significant focus on driving automation adoption, providing technical mentorship, and ensuring robust quality governance.

Key Responsibilities & Focus:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and implement a unified automation and quality strategy across various product streams.
  • QA Governance: Establish and govern QA processes throughout the entire delivery lifecycle, including leading non-functional testing efforts (performance, security).
  • Automation Expertise: Drive the overall automation strategy and oversee the design and maintenance of advanced automation frameworks, including mobile testing suites (e.g., XCUI Test).
  • Technical Mentorship: Provide hands-on technical coaching and mentorship to QA engineers and developers on best practices for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Required Industry & Technical Expertise:

  • Industry Experience: Proven track record of leading QA for complex digital platforms, mobile applications, or high-transaction microservices environments.
  • Automation Tools: Expertise in modern automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Strong understanding and experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab, CircleCI).
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in testing, including NodeJS, C#/.NET, Swift/Kotlin.
