About the Role
The Senior Test Analyst plays a critical role in delivering advanced quality assurance and testing expertise within digital projects. Collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and project teams, this role ensures the implementation of comprehensive testing strategies that uphold high-quality standards. The Senior Test Analyst proactively identifies and resolves issues to support the delivery of robust, reliable digital solutions. Additionally, by mentoring junior testers and promoting best testing practices, this role contributes to building a strong quality culture that aligns with organisational goals and drives successful project outcomes.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Senior Test Analyst sits within the Quality Assurance team, part of the Digital Delivery function under the wider Digital Services Group. Reporting into the QA Manager, this team is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality standards across digital projects through comprehensive testing strategies and best practices. The team works closely with development, product, and project teams to deliver reliable and robust digital solutions that meet organisational objectives. The broader Digital Delivery function focuses on enabling successful digital transformation by driving excellence in project delivery, quality assurance, and user experience across Health New Zealand's health system.
About you
You are a highly experienced testing professional with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering quality-assured digital solutions. You bring a strategic mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a collaborative approach to driving testing excellence within complex projects. As a mentor and leader, you inspire your team to adopt best testing practices and foster continuous improvement. You will also have the following skills and experience to support your success in the role:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation testing.
- Proven track record in leading test teams and managing testing projects.
- Experience in various testing methodologies and software development life cycles (SDLCs).
- Proficiency with test management and automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and JMeter.
