Job Description
As an Engineer Level 1, you will consult to our top tier client base, covering all areas of the testing lifecycle in multiple domains. With knowledge and expertise on all software delivery methodologies and test processes, you will use your testing capability to deliver large scale projects on schedule and to the highest quality.
This role is based in Auckland. We offer a hybrid working model, with a mixture of working from home and on-site client delivery. Travel within the country may be required from time to time for short-term on-site project support.
Key Responsibilities
You will be involved with Test Planning, Analysis, Design, Estimation, Execution, Defect Management and Reporting. You should be able to understand databases, write SQL and understand and perform API testing. You could be updating or executing automation scripts. You have a curious mind with a strong desire to improve things and do them better. Your eye for detail and a willingness to grow and learn make you a valued member of the team. You will do the usual testing activities day to day to test the behaviour, functionality and integrity of software programmes, including:
- Review requirements for testability
- Consult with clients for user and systems requirements when documentation is insufficient
- Determine test conditions/ test objectives
- Create comprehensive test cases relevant to test conditions
- Execute test cases and report results
- Raise and close defects when necessary
- Report results periodically to managers across the business Toolset/Experience Required
Required Skills:
- At least 4 years' experience in all areas of the SDLC/STLC
- Manage the defect process as required
- Able to provide estimates for test resources (time, people, environments etc.) and create reports
- Skills across numerous test levels, including System and SIT
- Able to mentor fellow team members in areas of project expertise
- Able to work within a team responsible for the analysis and planning of large-scale projects Experience in test automation including creating automation scripts and frameworks using selenium with JAVA or UFT or C#, renorax or Tosca
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in providing customer-focused services
- Data Migration experience
- Certified ISTQB at Foundation and/or Advanced Test Analyst level (training will be provided if required)
- Certified in Agile/SAFE practices
- Experience in SAP, Salesforce, Dynamics 365, web services, XML, mobile apps, or cloud testing
- Experience in delivering performance test activities utilising tools such as LoadRunner, Apache JMeter, Tricentis NeoLoad, along with programming/ scripting experience
