Senior Pricing Lead

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Product and Pricing, you'll play a crucial role leading actuarial and pricing work that supports competitive, profitable, and sustainable life insurance offerings. You'll connect pricing insights with commercial outcomes, contribute to new product work, and help ensure pricing excellence across our business. The role includes technical sign-off and peer review of all pricing in Chubb Life NZ as well as contributing to strategic decision-making.

Base yourself in our new Wellington office or join us in Takapuna and move with us to our new offices in mid 2026.

In this key role you'll

• Lead complex actuarial and pricing analysis, ensuring high-quality insights, accurate modelling, and timely delivery
• Develop and refine pricing models, assumptions and methodologies to support competitive, profitable products
• Calculate and review pricing, Value of New Business and profitability results, including technical sign-off and peer review
• Partner with Product, Finance, Risk and IT to translate pricing insights into practical decisions, strategies and improvements
• Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, automation opportunities, and mentoring junior actuarial staff

To be successful and grow in this role, you will ideally bring the following

• 10+ years' actuarial experience in life insurance/financial services with experience in pricing and product development
• Strong analytical and modelling capability (Prophet, MoSes, R, Python, Excel)
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences
• Experience mentoring and developing teams and Experience working across cross-functional and global teams
• Strong project management skills and high attention to detail
