Kaitere Farms is a successful family-owned and operated horticultural business specializing in Grapes, Apples, and Kiwifruit, located 16km from central Gisborne.

We're looking for a friendly and organised Human Resource Administrator to join our team. This part-time role (around 15 hours per week) is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work, likes being part of a close-knit team, and is keen to help foster the success and wellbeing of both our seasonal and permanent team members.

About the Role:

As our HR Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting both the operational and people aspects of our business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking charge of recruiting both permanent and seasonal workers -posting job ads, coordinating interviews, preparing contracts, and employee onboarding
  • Carrying out regular inspections of our worker accommodation and arranging maintenance when needed
  • Providing pastoral care to staff, including facilitating any upskilling and training
  • Inputting and coding of accounts payable
  • Assisting with payroll, checking timesheets, and ensuring staff details are accurate
  • Assisting with general office admin tasks -filing, document scanning, data entry, and other day-to-day tasks that help keep things running smoothly

About You:

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and Xero accounting software (experience with Fiqured and/or payroll software would be advantageous)
  • Has prior experience in office administration or HR
