This is a hands-on role working across multiple sites. You'll be involved in everything from recruitment and onboarding to learning & development, employment problems, internal communications, and HR administration. About the Role

As our HR Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting our team and wider business. Your responsibilities will include:

Team Success

  • Providing in-person support to team members and managers
  • Responding to HR-related queries and offering guidance on policies and processes
  • Supporting change projects and helping manage performance and conduct concerns

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Managing job ads, interviews, reference checks, and offers
  • Coordinating onboarding tasks and tracking new hire progress

Learning & Development

  • Maintaining our SOP Matrix and booking external training
  • Supporting development plans and apprenticeships

Engagement & Communication

  • Leading engagement surveys and action plans
  • Coordinating internal events, toolbox talks, and content for our intranet and Claymark TV

Administration

  • Processing employee changes, pay updates, and exit paperwork
  • Managing PPE and uniform stock, entering employment changes into payroll, and e-filing

Team Support & Portfolio Leadership

  • Providing cover for HR team members during leave
  • Leading one or more HR portfolios, driving improvements and best practice

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in HR advisory or coordination roles
  • Knowledge of learning, development and succession management will be an advantage but is not essential
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to think on your feet and show initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Confidence in managing conflict and navigating sensitive conversations
  • High attention to detail and professional discretion
  • Flexibility to work across sites and support a range of shifts from time to time (e.g. nightshifts, weekends)
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand
